Frank Carr graduated from Dondero High School in 1974. While in high school Frank received All-State honors in both football and baseball.
At Albion College, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1978, Frank also excelled in both sports. As a linebacker he was named three times to the all-MIAA squads. In 1977 he was tri-captain on the first Albion football team to reach the NCAA playoffs. He was also received All-MIAA honors in baseball in 1977 and 1978. He was the captain and starting catcher on the 1978 MIAA championship team. Mr. Carr earned his master's degree from Ball State University in 1983.
Frank Carr took the position of defensive coach for the football team at Earlham College in Richmond Indiana. He was appointed head coach and served 17 years. Carr became Earlham's longest tenured head football coach are won more games than any other coach in the 100 years of the program. He was named Coach of the Year 1987 for District 21 in the NAIA and North Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 1994.
Mr. Carr served in a variety of capacities in the athletic department at Earlham. He was head coach in three sports and became the Director of Athletics after filling the position of Associate Director of Athletics from 1996-2002.
Frank Carr is a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame at Albion College and was inducted into the Royal Oak High School Hall of Fame in 1998.
